New Class: Intro to Agility
Fridays January 19th, 26th, February 2nd,9th,16th 4:00 PM – 5:00PM
This course will be for dogs and owners wanting to start to learn about agility, dogs from 6 months and up may join. No dogs will start with regulation heights during this intro class. Allowances will be made for dogs under 1 year of age.
Dogs will learn confidence and contact zones with different obstacles and equipment. Dogs will learn targeting as well. The focus will be on the safe use of equipment (for your dog) and getting the contacts correctly. Handlers will learn the names of obstacles, safe warm ups for dogs, foot work.
All dogs are to work in a flat buckle collar, no check chains or martingales, or harness’ on during class time (dogs can get hung or choked on equipment due to harness or loose fitting collars.) High value treats and or a reward that your dog loves, a special tug, or squeaky toy may be brought. Handlers should wear shoes they can run in, and layered clothing they can freely move in.
Class size for dogs is limited to 8 dogs. Course fees are 20,000
