Intro to Cooperative Care NEW CLASS
I help caring and dedicated dog owners achieve dogs that are relaxed & easily handled during routine care and vet visits.
Cooperative Care refers to +R training and handling techniques that are based on the animal’s voluntary cooperation as opposed to those based on force or pressure.
Animal husbandry, when trained with positive reinforcement can vastly improve the lives of the animals in our care. (Your vet will also thank you when it’s easy for your dog to give consent and “help” with exams and treatment.)
There will be 6 classes in Ridgeways. Fridays at 4 PM. Cost for 6 sessions total is 20,000
Your place confirms as soon as your course fees are received via Mpesa (0725 365 692)
Participants will be required to practice and do their homework between each session
CLASS DATES: Friday
October 29th
November 5th,12th,19th,26th
December 3rd final class
Dogs must be tolerant of other dogs. If your dog gets distracted by other dogs, we will use barriers to block the view.
If your dog is reactive i.e. pulls, lunges or barks. You will have to book private sessions in the new Cooperative Care Training Room in Ridgeways.
NOTE, we will NOT be doing any type of medical care in class, just teaching the dogs the positions to and practicing, to make it easy for the owners and vets to provide routine and preventative care such as; nail clipping, muzzle acclimation, vet exams, vaccination, grooming, ear cleaning and tooth brushing.
